Robert Brown has been a ceramic artist since 1987. He has had work in galleries in Southern and Central California. Robert’s work with Raku glazes began while pursuing a master’s degree in Ceramic art from California State University Fresno.

His influences include Paul Soldner, Marcel Duchamp, as well as artists of the pop art movement, art deco era, and various modern movements.

Robert’s interest in metal sculpture began about 10 years ago. Many times he combines many types of mediums to create one of a kind pieces from free-form sculptures to furniture.

Some of the mediums Robert has used are metal, ceramic, glass, canvas, plastic, stone, and wood.

Five years ago, Robert and his wife Tamera  opened Night Gallery Ceramics to display the work of other dark themed artists and to showcase work that is generally not seen in mainstream galleries.

Night Gallery has been featured in Riviera Magazine, OC Weekly, Squeeze OC, and many other periodicals.
